Professional Development Plan
I’m ready to begin my tenure as an Administrator…and upon reading that, I hope you continue on with my Professional Development Plan…and consider me a strong candidate.
I bring a no-doubt-about-it energetic, professional and collaborative working relationship to the building I’m in, Forestview Middle School. Currently I serve on our District Staff Development Committee, various Curricular Committees and our RTI Team. RTI has assisted our building in some innovative and effective interventions for our students. In addition, I'm the Middle School Activities Director.
These are a snapshot of some of the experiences I’ve successfully participated in firsthand while fulfilling my Adminstration Licensures over the last few years. I’ve taken tremendous pride in my journey and owned every opportunity. I’m dedicated to making our public schools the best they can be.
The strengths I offer are, but not limited to, scheduling needs relative to both students and staff, and an extensive, genuine understanding of Middle School Students (“I get them”)-both in and out of the classroom, on and off the court. Handling student disciplinary issues and interpersonal communication skills are a must, and I have them. NWEA Testing, MCA II’s, IEP’s, Accelerated Reader, Online Grade Books and strong, consistent parental communication have been present throughout my career.
By all means, these skills and traits follow me…regardless of where I’m standing…It’s who I am.
I’ve endured the changes within Minnesota’s students, curriculums and ever-growing accountability standards. This journey, along with my own educational pursuits…has now blended my desire for an Administrative role with courage. With this, I continue to apply practices that have and will improve students’ educational experience and my continued growth as an educator.
I've continued on with my own Higher Education as I'm currently enrolled at St. Cloud State University in their Educational Adminstration and Leadership Doctoral Program. In addition, I continue to network within my community at-large in variety of ventures.
My immediate goal is to secure a full time Adminstrative position in a Public School District.
